One of the most highly studied herbs, elderberry has been proven through several clinical trials to shorten the severity and duration of colds and flu and to block the ability of a virus to puncture and invade healthy cell walls, slowing the speed at which a virus can replicate itself in our bodies. A very easy to grow large shrub, elderberry can be planted either with a rooted, potted plant or by cuttings. We offer Marge, Scotia and Nova varieties. Cuttings packs will include at least two varieties for pollination. Once established, elderberry can reach a size of 6’-12’ tall and wide. Elderberries prefer full sun for best fruit production but can tolerate partial shade for sure.
